VW Golf, Model Terlaris Eropa Tahun 2011

TEMPO.CO, Muenchen - General Motors boleh saja menjadi pabrikan dengan penjualan terbesar di dunia. Tapi di pasar Eropa, model terlaris adalah milik Volkswagen. VW Golf tetap menjadi best-seller untuk keempat kalinya berturut-turut. Tahun lalu, VW Golf terjual sebanyak 484.547 unit.

Laman inautonews.com dan autoevolution.com, Selasa, 24 Januari 2012 menulis, dominasi VW kian terasa karena posisi kedua ditempati sang adik, VW Polo. Disebutkan Polo terjual 356,490 unit.

Volkswagen Polo melangkahi Ford Fiesta yang terjual 348,465 sepanjang tahun lalu, diikuti Opel / Vauxhall Corsa dengan 313,325 unit, dan Clio Renault, dengan 294,172 unit.

VW sendiri tengan menyiapkan generasi baru Volkswagen Golf, MK VII. Model ini akan secara resmi ditampilkan ke publik pada Auto Show tahun ini di Paris. VII Golf akan menggunakan platform MQB baru, yang juga ditampilkan lewat Cross Coupe Concept. Generasi baru VW Golf ini akan menggunakan mesin bensin dan diesel, serta varian Bluemotion, GTI dan R.

Pameran Otomotif 2012 Medan

 

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gairah industri otomotif Indonesia sudah mulai terlihat di awal tahun 2012. Untuk pertama kalinya kota Medan, Sumatera Utara, akan menjadi tuan rumah pameran otomotif. Pameran Otomotif Medan (POM) akan berlangsung 15 - 19 Februari 2012 menghadirkan 16 merek kendaraan dari lebih dari 10 Agen Pemegang Merek (APM) di tanah air.

Data Gaikindo (Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia) mencatat penjualan kendaraan roda empat selama tahun 2011 mencapai 894.164 unit. Data tersebut tercatat berhasil melebihi target Gaikindo sebelumnya yakni 680.000 unit.

Brand-brand yang siap meramaikan antara lain Chrysler, Daihatsu, Dodge, Ford, Geely, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Mitshubishi Motors, Peugeot, Subaru, dan Toyota. Sedang dari jajaran heavy commercial vehicles akan tampil Hino, Isuzu dan MAN Truck.

"Selain kendaraan dari APM, POM 2012 juga akan menghadirkan jajaran mobil-mobil exotic seperti Hummer 2, New Porshe Boxster Spyder, dan Cadilac Escalade esv," kata Abiyoso Wietono, Senior Project Officer POM 2012 dalam keterangan persnya.

Abiyoso Wietono mengatakan POM 2012 selain menjadi ajang pameran otomotif pertama Medan juga menjadi tempat edukasi tentang perkembangan otomotif Indonesia.

Selain itu, berbagai program pendukung telah disiapkan Dyandra Promosindo sebagai penyelenggara. Diah Putri Humas Dyandra mengataka selama 5 hari penyelenggaraan ada promo helm murah, area khusus untuk test drive, music corner, lelang barang otomotif, lomba fotografi, berbagai talkshow bertema otomotif, dan pemilihan Miss Motor Show Medan.

"Pameran akan menggunakan area seluas lebih dari 4.000 m2 di Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel and Convention Medan yang terletak di Jl. Kapten Maulana Lubis No.7, Medan," kata Diah Putri.

Bollywood celebrities at Auto Expo 2012

cardekho.com. The relationship between the movie stars and cars go way back into the history. Each belonging to the glamour  world, they were always featured hand in hand to attract the consumers like magnets at their premium car launches.

There were numerous top personalities belonging to the film fraternity who brought the stardom in unimaginable proportions to the largest Auto Expo of the Asian continent where top actors and actresses like 'Rockstar' Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, John Abraham and Lisa Ray were spotted on many occasions.

This is not all, the veteran actor Big B Amitabh Bachchan, actor and director Farhan Akhtar, the eminent writer Chetan Bhagat were all there, while few performed the honours to unveil the most anticipated cars of the season. Nissan India chose to get endorsed with the actor, the charismatic Ranbir Kapoor who is now the brand Ambassador of Nissan India.

He was the one who pulled the wraps of the Nissan Evalia MPV which is an attraction on its own. The uproar among the spectators when Nissan Evalia broke covers was enormous which was partly due to the vehicle itself and a large chunk of response was also due to the latest heart-throb of the cine world, Ranbir Kapoor.

Katrina Kaif and Lisa Ray ensured that the Audi Q3 is a success even before the launch which is slated to launch towards the third quarter of 2012. The graceful actresses well matched the Audi Q3 basking in glory at the center stage of the Auto Expo. The India make Avanti Sports car was launched by the Big B of the Indian glamour world, Amitabh Bachchan where the focus was not all on the Avanti sports car alone.

The design conceived and conceptualised by Dilip Chabria, the founder of the domestic Automotive firm DC Auto, the sports cars is a wonder car for many with a price tag of Rs 30 lakh. This is not the first time we have seen Amitabh Bachchan associated with a car launch.

And it is not new for us, the consumers either when Amitabh Bachchan himself was made a part of the show when Force One SUV was launched back in August. The deemed actor and his son Abhishek Bachchan were invited upon to many car launches even before, when Junior Bachchan was linked with the Ford Fiesta launch before.

The new Mercedes-Benz M-Class was uncovered by the intelligent actor celebrity, Farhan Akhtar who has done far good to the luxury car with his presence. The luxury SUV houses a powerful 3.0 L V6 engine under the hood and Farhan Akhtar has done the perfect justice to the imposing off-roader. The eminent writer Chetan Bhagat who also seems to be an extreme car enthusiast was not only seen actively participating at the Indian Auto Expo, but he was generous enough to promote the excitement with his tweets on the social networking site Twitter.com giving live updates on the electrifying atmosphere surrounding the largest Automobile event of the continent.

The kind gesture made by the auto giants across the globe is just fine by involving the celebrities at their respective car launches, but what did happen to be the drawback is the outpouring crowd which was if partially due to the string of launches and unveilings of the new cars, the rest was to watch their favourite actors live in front of them. There were many a complaints in this regard from the onlookers and the business participants who did make their woes well known generally. There was a part of crowd who also believed that it is the new cars’ day and it is the new cars that are supposed to be the real heroes for the week, not the celebrities who belong to a different world altogether.

Towbin Cars, in Las Vegas, is advertising the car for $390, 000 and offer a full service history for the 6.75-litre V12 engine which develops 450bhp and enables among the smoothest acceleration of all cars.
It can do 0 to 62 miles per hour in 5.9 seconds and it has an overall top speed of 150mph.

It is described as 'meticulously maintained' and owned by a 'non smoker'.
The flashy car is not very fuel efficient and guzzles petrol with the three tonne beast averaging just 11 miles per gallon.

​Ghiboo.com - Belum hilang ingatan kita akan kecelakaan maut Xenia, kali ini nuansa yang berbeda tercatat di Italia.

Sebuah mobil Ferrari 458 yang dirilis pada tahun 2009 terbelah menjadi dua. Kecelakaan yang berujung pada tabrakan beruntun ini ironisnya justru terjadi di tanah kelahiran Ferrari sendiri yaitu Italia.

Menurut pihak kepolisian seperti yang dilansir autoevolution.com (30/1),  Sopir kehilangan kendali dan menyebabkan tabrakan beruntun empat mobil, yang menewaskan dirinya dan dua orang lainnya.

Kecelakaan parah ini bertambah setelah Ferrari seharga $ 240.000 menghantam sebuah batu dan terbelah menjadi dua bagian hingga akhirnya menyebabkan kecelakaan beruntun.

Seorang pengusaha  berusia 57 tahun juga terluka bersama sepuluh orang lainnya, akibat kecelakaan beruntun ini.

Semoga hal ini, tidak terjadi lagi di Italia bahkan di Indonesia.

Spekulasi Peluncuran SUV Anyar Lamborghini di Cina

Ghiboo.com - Sebuah majalah Italia melaporkan bahwa produsen mobil supercepat Lamborghini bakal meluncurkan model konsep SUV (Super Utility Vehicle) anyar mereka di gelaran Beijing Motor Show 2012. Namun, Lamborghini, ketika dikonfirmasi, mengatakannya sebagai spekulasi.  

Seperti dimuat dalam Majalah Italia Quattroruote pekan ini, SUV anyar berlogo banteng itu terlihat mengusung garis seri model Lamborghini Aventandor dengan platform mirip SUV generasi terbaru Porsche, Cayenne.

Untuk urusan dapur pacu, Lamborghini SUV itu dilaporkan bakal mengadopsi mesin V10 milik Lamborghini Gallardo. Untuk versi produksi, diperkirakan menggunakan versi hybrid dengan daya 700 tenaga kuda.

Namun, seperti dilaporkan Autocar.co.uk, Senin (31/1), Lamborgini menampik laporan tersebut dan menganggapnya sebagai "spekulasi" saja. Ketika ditanya mengenai kemungkinan model baru ketiga hadir di Beijing, juru bicara Lamborghini menjawab, "Spekulasi beredar mengenai bagaimana bentuknya nanti (model ketiga),"

"Banyak orang mengangap bahwa model baru kami nantinya akan berwujud sebuah SUV-tapi belum ada satupun yang dikonfirmasi."

Bicara SUV, Lamborghini sebenarnya bukan pemain baru. Pada tahun 1986, perusahaan mobil italia berlogo banteng pernah memproduksi SUV dengan penggerak empat roda pertama, Lamborghini LM002.  Sayang, mobil yang dijuluki 'Rambo-Lambo' itu stop produksi tahun 1993. 

SUV anyar 'lambo'  awalnya diharapkan banyak orang sebagai pewaris kedigdayaan LM002.

VW Rakit Caravelle Di Indonesia

​Ghiboo.com - Berita menggembirakan datang dari Volkswagen AG, di Jerman. Selasa 31 Januari 2012 lalu mereka mengumumkan bahwa Indonesia menjadi tempat untuk perakitan VW Transporter T5, untuk pasar lokal, dengan bekerjasama dengan PT. Garuda Mataram Motor, Agen Pemegang Merk VW di Indonesia.

Perakitan MPV VW yang juga dikenal sebagai VW Caravelle ini diumumkan oleh Jens Ocksen, Member Of The Board Of Management Volkswagen Comercial Vehicle. T5 akan dibuat secara SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) seperti dua produk VW lainnya yang dijual di Indonesia yaitu VW Touran dan VW Golf.

Menurut rilis yang kami terima, VW menargetkan akan memproduksi paling tidak 220 unit selama tahun 2012 ini, dan dijual melalui jaringan dealer VW yang ada di Indonesia. Pada tahun 2015 nanti, VW menargetkan 1.200 unit T5 baik dalam bentuk multivan (versi penumpang) maupun commercial vehicle (kendaraan komersial semacam blind van) bisa dirakit disini.

Belum jelas kapan PT. Garuda Mataram Motor akan secara resmi mengumumkan hal ini, namun sepertinya tidak akan lama lagi. Bisa jadi di penghujung bulan Februari 2012 ini.
