Since its release in 2003, the Bentley Continental GT has established
itself as one of the sports cars of the world's most popular automobile.
To celebrate its nine year history, the elegant British pay cut a few
cosmetic changes and more importantly, it now takes a block V8.
Aesthetically, the new Continental GT V8 differs from the W12 version of its grille split in two by a vertical bar chrome, the new bumper, its twin exhaust pipes shaped "8" or even by its new 6-spoke rims 20 or 21 inches.
But what interests us most is under the hood. The Continental GT V8 receives the 8-cylinder V-twin-turbo direct-injection 4.0 of the Audi S8, developing 507 hp and 660 Nm of torque. With Stop & Start and to stop half the cylinders in certain situations, the Continental GT V8 emits only 265 g / km of CO 2 and is more fuel efficient of about 40% that the W12 version .
The new V8 is obviously associated with a permanent all-wheel drive and a 8-speed automatic transmission. Bentley has not yet unveiled its new performance beast but rumors point to a 0 to 100 km / h shot in less than 5 seconds to a top speed of 290 km / h. The average fuel economy for its part should be around 10.6 liters per 100 km.
Inside, technicians at Bentley has done a superb job with an interior rich and extremely well finished. Eucalyptus wood appeared on the dashboard while the two-tone leather upholstery is in harmony with the different hues of the cabin. A huge customization program will also be available
