Lamborghini’s new prized steed, the mighty Aventador,
has become a tuning favorite as of late and as expected, the list of
aftermarket companies itching to work on the Aventador has steadily
increased by the day. The latest company to take a stab at the Italian
supercar is RENM Performance. The German tuning company has released the
details of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Limited Edition Corsa
(LE-C) program.
According to RENM Performance, the
LE-C program was designed to not only improve on the supercar’s race
track capabilities, but to also maintain its road drivability. Talk
about killing two birds with one stone; RENM Performance’s program for
the Aventador is as good as it gets.
On the aesthetic
front, the LE-C program comes with plenty of new, lightweight carbon
fiber body sections that highlight the package’s revised aerodynamics
program, including an adjustable rear wing and a new set of exclusive
LE-C light weight center-lock forged wheels. Meanwhile, the interior
also gets a nice make-over, courtesy of new carbon fiber and Alcantara
sections, a revised steering wheel, and new racing seats.
While
the program offers plenty of aesthetic enhancements, the LE-C is all
about improving the supercar’s already stellar performance capabilities.
The tuning program includes a bevy of modifications, including a new
road/race specification inconel/titanium exhaust system, a re-designed
air intake, chassis and suspension improvements, and recalibration of
the car’s ECU unit, resulting in a 7-10 percent increase in engine
output.
Do the math on the Aventador’s 6.5-liter V12
engine and its 700 horsepower output and you’re looking at an additional
50-70 horsepower, giving it a total of around 750 to 770 horsepower.
The
LE-C program is not only expected to significantly improve performance,
acceleration, and vehicle dynamics of the Aventador, but do so in a
fashion that no other tuning program can match.
